Amanda Pearl

Amanda Pearl Brotman is a Seattle native and, much to our ballerina-at-heart’s delight, a former ballet dancer. In 1999 she moved to New York where she graduated with a degree in Art History and Visual Arts from Barnard College. Having cut her teeth at design houses such as Marc Jacobs and Erin Fetherston after school—and armed with a collection of vintage fabrics and beads gathered from her international travels—Amanda began constructing evening bags out of her Greenwich Village apartment. She launched her own line in 2008, which has since garnered the praise of major publications and fashion plates from coast to coast.
