La Lueur de L’Aube

After graduating from Musashino Art University in Tokyo from the Department of Scenography, Display, and Fashion Design, Makiko Akiyama worked at an accessories company and then moved to France. There, she trained at several jewelry studios before launching her own line, whose name means “dim light at the dawn.” Makiko looks to the delicacy and subtlety of nature for inspiration, and feels her work represents a Japanese sense of beauty infused with the refinement of Paris.
