I really wanted to love this on me, I'd been eyeing it for months! Then it went on sale, so I took the plunge. It is made very well, of course, it is Marchesa.
CONS: too pink. I should have listened to the other reviews, it is way too pink for me for my wedding. Also, the flower appliques in the front that hip at the hip on the model, hit around my thigh, therefore between the upper chest appliques and the bottom appliques, the overlay area without applique hit at my lower ab and hip, making them look huge and it hung like a sack. The detail needs to sit higher, it looked great when I pull up the hem to be able to walk. So I would have needed a hem, which then would take away the beautiful appliques and leave a bare mid section (hard to explain sorry).
SIZE: last year I tried on wedding dresses in bridal shops and was a 12, I ordered a 10 in this dress and could have gone to my street dress size of 8. So the 10 was roomy. I have 34 DD, wide hips, not a small waist. Size 8 in LLL tights.
I think if you're tall and ok with pink, this is your dress. It's really beautiful, well made. Just not for me, sadly.

The dress was well made- fabric was beautiful, the threading used for the floral design was a bit sparkly, which is hard to tell in the pictures. The color of the dress was a surprise- it was more of a blush pink- definitely not the same "champagne" shade as the pictures provided. It's a beautiful dress, but I'm returning mainly due to the color.

This dress is gorgeous, and yes - it is decidedly pink, with silver in the embroidery. The color palette is similar (albeit lighter) to that of Cate, which is more obviously pink in the website photos. The dress actually has three layers: ivory double layer stretch charmeuse, followed by a pink georgette (organza? I'm no fabric expert) middle layer, and topped off by ivory tulle with pink/silver embroidery and a few sequins. I was pleased with the shininess of it, because my wedding is an evening, indoor event, so I need a luminescent dress that will visually "pop" in dimmer lighting. The look is tasteful and much better quality than the other Marchesa Notte dress I tried - Estella - which looks cheap by comparison. It is also very comfortable, and you can wear it with an ordinary strapless bra. My reason for returning is that I have a somewhat long torso, and this dress cannot be modified to work with my shape. I'm 5'9", 34D - 29 - 37 (high hip) - 40 1/2 (low hip). I tried the 8 and the 10. The 10 was definitely too big, while the 8 fit well enough, but with both sizes, the waist hit mid-rib, and I popped out of the top if I raised my arms. Even if altered to tighten the bodice, I don't think this issue could be resolved, so I'm sending it back. If you are the right height (under 5'6") and can embrace the color, this dress is a great value at the sale price.

It's pink! Much pinker than the photos. True to size. I had my heart set on it but the color is a deal breaker for me. Other than that it's a lovely gown.
