Seriously, my daughter needed this dress for an April 2012 wedding. There appeared to be issues with sizing due to the bodice area and zipper. Sara at BLHDN personal shopping was amazing. She stayed on the phone with me for as long as it took as well as e-mail communication discussing my concerns regarding bust size with this dress, etc. Well, end result: if you are a size 4, then you should order a size 4....as long as your a 34A. The problem lies with if you are really busty, you'll need to order a size up. We ordered a size 4 and it fit perfectly. Go slowly zipping it up, but that's because there's so much material around the bodice you may be timid in zipping it, but it does work. I applaud the personal shopping division. What a blessing to know that the bride choose this dress for her bridesmaids and they all got them in time before the sale ended! Great team work! The ABOUT me is is about my daughter's info

Tasteful and fun. Go a size up.

Having experienced the "too-large ribcage" phenomenon with other fitted-bodice dresses, I ordered a size up as several of the reviewers here have recommended. I am SO glad that I did so--there's absolutely no way my regular size would have fit. The structured twist in the bodice that makes the dress so lovely is what also makes it so unforgiving in terms of wiggle-room. I turn the dress to the side or the front and zip it up that way (I would not necessarily recommend this technique for everyone...only on those whom the dress can easily be turned). My advice: if you have enough time, order a couple of sizes and see which one works.

The fabric of the dress is beautiful--heavy enough for my fall wedding--and the print is whimsical but not so much that you'll look like a seven year old playing fairy. I don't find the bubble skirt to bubbly in the least, and the pockets are a terrific bonus.

Wanted to like it...

But it just wasn't for me. True to other reviews, the zipper would get stuck - even when trying to zip it once off my body. I'm a 6 & it fit fine, the zipper just wouldn't budge. The bottom was a bit too fluffy/poofy for my opinion as well. I was trying to even it out and get it looking right due to perhaps becoming an odd shape from shipping, but it wouldn't take. It's a lovely dress, but sadly it will be returned.

Wasn't Sure But...

Wow! I went back and forth over this dress for a long time. I'm a pear shape and didn't think this dress would be flattering on me. At prompting from friends, I finally ordered it to give it a try. The dress is amazing. The silk is a lovely shade of cream and is fun and pretty much everything I was looking for. As others have said, the zipper is cheap compared to the quality of the rest of the dress. I've been having problems with it when it's on me and when it's on the hanger. I may have a seamstress look at it.... The problem occurs where the skirt meets the bodice.

I generally wear a size 6 dress and I ordered a 6. Girls with a larger bust may want to size up a bit.
