A dress can't be the "the one" if it doesn't fit. That's why we've asked each designer with whom we collaborate to use a consistent set of specifications when sizing their collections. We're not saying a stitch here and hem there won't be necessary, but when it comes to finding the right initial size, we think this guide will do the trick. Should you need more assistance, we’ll certainly guide you through. Contact BHLDN STYLISTS.

New to measuring? Here are two important tips: measure wearing the underpinnings you'll be wearing with the dress, and be sure to keep the tape straight—don't let it fall lower in the front or back.

BUST
Measure across the fullest part of your bust. Measure true— not too loose or too tight.

NATURAL WAIST Measure the slimmest part of your waistline (above your navel but below your ribcage). Measure true—not too loose or too tight.

HIP
Measure the fullest part of your hip area (roughly nine inches below the waist). Measure true— not too loose or too tight.
