i love these shoes. they scream 1950's and they are not towering high heels unlike most of the bridal fancy shoes of today. the problem is that they are euro sizing, and from my experience, they always run small. i texted with a bhldn stylist, and they informed me they run true to size, but my gut instinct was to order two pairs to cover the spread. sure enough, the 39.5 does NOT fit like an american 9.5. i have the 40, and it is a bit tight but it will have to do since they do not offer a 40.5 (which i feel would be comparable to a true 9.5). the embellishments are fun, with the curved metal piece resembling brushed nickel- which i thought was sort of hard to see in the pictures.
