Pretty...but needs work
This dress is so pretty, but it needs so much tailoring just to make it look right. First, it has an odd fit in the stomach area-it bags out for some reason. The salesperson at the store said it was because the sample was too big on me, but when I got the one I ordered, the same thing happened. Two tailors wouldn't touch the dress, so I found a dressmaker who is basically reconstructing the whole thing. She has to add boning to the sides and tulle underneath the skirt to make it lay correctly. The pads in the dress look like I have a pillow stuffed inside, so she is removing them and putting in more natural looking pads to correct the "uniboob" look. I would have been better off having a dress made, and I tried to return it when the tailors wouldn't attempt to fix it, but could not because I had the dress more than 30 days. Very disappointing, but hopefully it will work out after it is altered. It would be a shame to hate my wedding dress...

yellow, not blush
The details of the Honora gown are as enchanting in person as is it pictured! The floral and scallop lace are just stunning and I had no issues with quality as other reviewers have noted. The fit is relatively true to size for bridal but small for street sizes. If you are struggling with what size to order I would order on the larger side and have it taken in where ever necessary, because any area that the dress is slightly tight the scalloped layers will pull and flip up rather than lay flat as they should. The length was perfect for me at 5'4" with modest heels, but may not skim the floor if you are taller or want to wear heels over 2 1/2".
Unfortunately, this dress will have to be sent back due to the color. I am entirely put off by true white bridal and I love ivory and more saturated color, so I was excited for this dress. The ivory overlay is true to ivory but the under fabric on the screens I have used to look at this dress (laptop computer, tablet, mobile phone) all show a faint warm peachy blush, or as another reviewer described it as "bisque". In person it is an off-putting dirty dishwater yellow. I couldn't imagine it being flattering on any skin tone and it detracts from the details of the ivory overlay.
I really wanted to love this gown but it's impossible due to the color.

I found my perfect dress and I could not love it more.
I went into BHLDN expecting to fall in love with one of the more airy, flowy styles, and became totally enraptured with this one. It is everything I didn't know I was looking for: figure flattering, vintage inspired, unique, and so perfect for my venue (I am getting married at a historic farm). A plus: it made me feel taller and slimmer.
The photos do not do the intricate detail of this gown justice. The scalloped lace along the bodice and through the hips is my favorite part, and will best flatter women like me who are very curvaceous on the bottom. I wear a size M/8 in everyday dresses and tops, a 10-12 in pants, and am typically a 10 in bridal. The sample size 10 at the store fit nicely, and that is the size I ordered.
Another reviewer mentioned that the lace becomes cluttered and busy at the bottom. The flower motif in the skirt does overlap with the scalloped trimming along the hem, but this does not take from the dress in my opinion.
For brides seeking something white or near-white, be warned - this gown is a warm cream, almost bisque-like color with an ivory overlay. (FYI, I tried on BHLDN's ivory veils and they matched perfectly with the overlay.. the ones with the scalloped edging looked.almost as if they were made to match!). The color is still perfectly bridal in my opinion, but I had to add this in for those brides who find a stronger off-white to be off-putting.
Oh, and the gown arrived within 3 days of ordering it through the store! I cannot wait to wear it - and wish I didn't have to wait over a year <3

Disappointed with quality
I love this dress. The style is unique and flattering, but the execution and quality is atrocious. I ordered the gown in a 10, and excitedly tried it on without looking closely. There are frayed edges everywhere, tulle that extends past the lines of the dress, and embroidery stuck on top of other embroidery, creating a large white confusing mass. For the price, there should be little to none of these issues. I returned the dress only to get another dress in the same size with the same problems. The execution is so terribly disappointing. I'm scared to exchange it again only to be stuck with even more problems.
