Marchioness Dress 4.8 5 6 6
Beautiful dress This dress is so pretty and I couldn't wait to receive it in the mail. I tried it on and I could not zip it up all the way. I am 5'10" and wear a 6 or 8. I ordered a 6 based on the reviews. The dress fit at the waist and the length was great. However, I am a 34DD and it was inches away from closing at the top. So, I am returning it. I still rate the dress very high and would love to own it. I just think I would have to get a size that would need too many alterations. December 10, 2012
Pure Perfection I bought this dress for my (step)sisters wedding. I got so many incredibly kind compliments from complete strangers. I am 5'3'' size 0, fit absolutely perfect. Hit my leg about the same place as shown on model. The color is pretty accurate in my opinion (perhaps screen colors differ by device). It was pure perfection. November 2, 2012
Very pretty dress - just like the photo This is a gorgeous dress - very well made, great fabric, lovely colour. I, too, purchased the dress in a smaller size than I'd normally wear (I am a size 4 but purchased a size 2) and am glad I did so. The dress is a snug fit but not tight and the pleats sit perfectly. Had I gone a size bigger the skirt may have looked a little bulky. It is a long dress (I'm 5 ft 7 inches) and finishes 2 inches above my ankle but with heels the style looks very glamorous. A great dress! Not too bridesmaid-y! September 16, 2012
stunning! A truly beautiful dress (or it will be especially once it's ironed. Dress arrives a bit wrinkled with the pleats creased and scrunched, but I believe it will smooth out to look as elegant as the photo.) I am 145lbs, 5'7" and I normally take an 8 or 10 in dresses, but the 10 I originally ordered was much too big all over. I took a risk and ordered a 6, since the 8 was sold out at the time. The 6 surprised me by fitting almost perfectly, so I believe this dress runs a bit large. Dress is a bit more "aqua" than purely ice blue in real life, which is fine as it's truly a gorgeous color. It has a smooth satiny lining and boning for support. The bodice includes removable pads for the bust; I took these out to make more room for my 36C chest. Upon doing so, more of the "boning" structure of the bodice became apparent, and I noticed the cup construction has an oddly stiff, "upward" point to it that is a bit odd. (You can see a tiny bit of this in the picture of the dress from the side online; though it is decidedly more distinct in my dress.) The bodice, although snug on me, also tends to slide down... it really could use one of those clear, rubbery, "anti-slip" strips to help keep it up, as the only thing sort of doing so is the one shoulder strap of silk. This causes the dress to stay up rather well on one side, but slip a bit on the other. Also, there are wide "flat areas" on each side of the dress where there are no pleats. I assume this is in case you wish to have it taken in at the sides, but as I won't be doing that, it looks a bit strange. On the side of the dress where it zips, the zipper makes the fabric poke out at a funny angle at the hip. And it is indeed a long dress; at 5'7" with 2.5" heels it's only about 5" above my ankles. You may wish to have this taken up a bit. Overall--gorgeous dress, very elegant and romantic. It should be a winner with a few minor adjustments. July 11, 2012
