I went in just to browse, as it was my first time even trying on wedding dresses, and much to my surprise ended up actually buying this one! It is absolutely gorgeous!! I really liked this one and the Seraphina gown, but the Odessa just had something elegant and a special something about it. It's funny because it wasn't really the style I had in mind when I was initially looking at dresses online. The back part of the dress is so incredibly beautiful. Overall, the dress fit true to size except for the top part. It's not that the chest area was too large, just the sides needed to be taken in a touch (but only at the very top). Waist and hips were perfect for me. I got my usual size 4. All in all, I am SO happy to call this my wedding dress! I didn't expect to fall in love so quickly with a dress. And it was on sale, so you can't beat that.

Would suit a curvy body
This dress is very elegant and sophisticated but is certainly made for someone a lot curvier than me. Although it fit well on the waist and ok on my bust, my hips were no where near filling it.
The material is quite heavy, which was not to my liking.

I fell in love with this dress when I tried it on at BHLDN in Chicago. It's classic, romantic, curve-flattering, and perfect for our garden wedding. I'm fuller in the bust, so the top half was not as large on me as for some other reviewers; however, I still have to get it taken in a bit. Can't wait to wear it for our wedding in August! One complaint I do have, however, is for BHLDN regarding shipping. The dress arrived in a thick plastic-like garment bag, and when I opened the box, the bag - and dress! - smelled horribly of chemical plastic/rubber! I got rid of the bag it was shipped in and bought a breathable bag, but the smell is still there on the dress. I will have to steam clean the dress anyways, but this was a real bummer. Just wanted to let BHLDN know about this, in case this problem is affecting other dresses as well.

Best for curves!
I'm terribly curvy, but mostly on the top. I originally skipped over the Odessa gown because it didn't look that unique hanging on the rack or the mannequin. However - once I tried it on? STUNNING. I'm generally a street size 8. I ordered this in a 6, which is fitted around the hips, slightly big around the bust/shoulders, and quite bit around the waist. Overall it worked well to size down slightly and then have it altered in where needed. The fabric is a deeper ivory - almost buttery to me - and the lace is white. I'm quite pale, and it looks really flattering on light skin tones. Overall, I'm absolutely IN LOVE with this dress! I want to wear it all the time!
