Stunning Silhouette, but tight ar ound the ribcage
I ordered this dress as a potential rehearsal dinner option for my upcoming wedding. When I pulled it out of the box, it is definitely a little darker ivory/cream. The sheer straps were simply stunning and so romantic once on. If you love feminine details, I highly recommend this dress.
The reason I had to return is due to the fit of the dress. I looked at the Size Chart and based on my measurements I was literally in between a 2 and 4. (I'm 5'4" and 120 lbs -- smaller chest with a little wider hips. I ordered the 2 but the length of the dress was at least 2-3" below my knees. And the straps (although not weight-bearing) were gaping due to the length being too long for my size. The chest was even a bit baggy (34B). I tried to reason that I could have the straps altered to be pulled back, and the length shortened; however, the dress was extremely hard to zip around my waist (where the belt is) and I have a small ribcage. It was actually difficult to zip even with the dress off, but I knew I wouldn't be comfortable in it for an entire night. And I also knew that if I sized up to the 4, I would need to alter the straps & length even more so that it wasn't worth it.
So unfortunate, I absolutely loved this dress!! But I suggest you give it a try, just be warned if your measurements are similar to mine, you may need to do heavy alterations.

Lovely Dress
This dress is beautiful and I feel that it could be a great dress for other parties/semi-formal occasions other than weddings.
Some things I think are important to note are:
Sizing - Go by your measurements on the sizing chart and not your regular dress size. I am normally an 8 or 10, but my measurements for this dress are exactly a size 12. The size 12 fits me almost perfectly, it's just a tiny bit snug which I feel is due to the thickness of the bodice.
Construction - The dress has a high quality of construction overall. The bodice is very sturdy and I do not think a bra is necessary to wear with it (if you do want to wear a bra take that into consideration with your measurements). I did notice some puckering in the fabric around the arms and where the shoulder straps meet the rest of the dress. Also if you are shorter take that into consideration - I am 5ft 5in tall and the dress comes down just below my knees. Of corse you can always have it hemmed. I think the design of this dress would be perfect if it had pockets!
Color - The color of the dress is definitely more yellow than depicted in the product photos. I would still define the color as ivory, however it is a darker shade.
I look forward to wearing this dress either for my rehearsal dinner or as a reception dress at my wedding!

Nice Dress!
This dress is as adorable as it looks. After reading the reviews, I was hesitant to buy the Saturnalia dress, but I did because of BHLDN's amazing free returns. I'm so glad I bought the dress! It's perfect for my outdoor, summer wedding. There are some things to know:
1. The color isn't as white as the photo- it's buttercream.
2. The bodice is thick. The dress is well made and sturdy. The crinoline is sewn in to the first layer and there is another layer to keep it from aggravating your legs.
3. The straps are not weight bearing, but probably will need to be shortened for most people. The straps are a beautiful feature, though.
4. The dress fits just a little small. I'm normally an 8, but I ordered a 10 after asking a BHLDN Style Guide. It fits me like a glove- no alterations needed.
Overall, if you like the photo and think the dress would be flattering, get it. It's beautiful.

beautiful color not for my bodt type
I really wanted this dress to work for my reception dress. It is adorable but on my smaller on the bottom body it made me look a bit larger.
I am 5'5" 120lbs 34c , 26.5 waist and 35" hips.
The size 4 fit perfect to a little tight in the rib cage and the top was slightly large.
