I don't normally do reviews but I thought that this one deserved one. I'm 5'2" and feel that a long dress would completely overwhelm me and I must say finding a beautiful and distinct short wedding dress has been a challenge. With this dress I recommend ordering in your street size: I'm a 4 and went with a 4.
Cons: the bust area is a little wide: on the model it's nice and fitted but on me it loose (which is an easy fix at the tailor). Also the zipper is sticky! The first time I tried it on it wouldn't zip up! But if you have this problem just keep trying. I finally got it to zip and the more I zip it the better it works. The lace overlay is a little delicate looking so I am going to keep it in a garment bag until the wedding.
Pros: The amount of detail in the lace overlay makes this formal/fancy enough to be my wedding dress. Also the slip is slightly darker, a blush color, than at top and I love that. Also it's fitted enough that I don't have to wear a bra (I'm having cups put in), which is a huge plus for me. The slip is slightly shorter than it shows with the model. The lace overlay is about an inch or two longer which I think makes it look even more interesting!
Overall this is a dress that is easy to wear (requiring few alterations!) and with intricate detail. It's great for a bride wanting a short but beautiful dress for her outdoor wedding. I would have felt like it was well worth $300 and at $180 it's a steal!

Nice dress, needed some alteration
I bought this dress for my casual summer wedding. I am 5'3, 34B, 125lbs. I read the reviews and bought a size zero. The bodice of the dress fits me perfectly, although it is snug enough that I do not plan to wear a bra other than those sticky cups you can get. Overall high quality, embroidery detail is beautiful.
I was a little disappointed by a few items which I am having fixed by a seamstress:
1. The slip underneath seems almost like a one-size fits all sheath. This meant a lot of extra material underneath which kept getting caught in the zipper and also looked bunchy in places. I am having the seamstress fit the slip to my body and also sew it into the dress to be one piece. She is also going to remove the little straps underneath.
2. I found the skirt to be more A-line than the picture shows, making it have seem bigger in the hips (I don't have very big hips). The seamstress is adding a few darts to make it fall a little straighter.
Obviously I like it enough to get it altered, but for me, the alterations to make this look like the photo are costing me more than the dress! I would never do this if it were not my wedding dress. I know all bodies are different, so alterations may be inevitable, but just wanted to warn those who may not be willing or have time to get it altered.

Beautiful, perfect, but small on top
There is a reason this dress keeps getting snatched up. The Jola Dress is just as gorgeous in person as it is in the picture! I am wearing this dress for my engagement pictures and my family is already raving about how beautiful the pictures are going to be because of this dress! Thanks to all the reviews, I was prepared to snatch up a size down ( I usually wear a 4, every once in a while a 2, but I ordered the 2) and it fit perfectly! Thanks for all the information, ladies!
Like some of the other reviews have mentioned, the slip underneath is ombre which looks a little strange when you lift up the lace but it actually looks really cool and not that noticeable when you have the dress on. Yes, the tag is way too huge and you will have to cut it off which is definitely a poorly planned design but I can get over it.
The one caution I have is that if the other sizes have the same fit as the size I have, this dress may not be for busty girls. I am small on top and this is tighter on my chest with no wiggle room. Hope this helps!

Super Cute But Runs Small For Curvy Girls
From the other reviews, I would have thought I needed to size down but am sure glad I didn't. I think, from what I can tell, the girls who said to size down were smaller in the chest area. Though I am short (5'), I'm also on the curvier side (34C) and weigh 110 pounds. I typically wear a size 6 and believe it worked out okay.
For you curvy girls out there, the dress does flatten your chest, thus making it slightly tighter around my bust. It fit just fine around my waist, but the "belt" area is a little tighter than the rest. Not sure why, but it doesn't look bad or anything.
I thought about sizing up, but the 8 was too loose around my waist. Not as fitted on me nor as flattering.
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I've been eyeing this dress for some time and when I saw it was on sale (a steal at $180), I immediately called my local BHLDN and asked them to place it on hold for me. The way the dress is cut is flattering and will make for a lovely rehearsal/rehearsal dinner dress.
