I originally bought a dress elsewhere and at the fitting, decided that I hated it. I came across this dress online and since it was on sale, I took a chance and purchased it. I typically am in flux between a size 8 and 10. Based on previous reviews, I purchased an 8.
I'm so happy that I did!!! This dress is absolutely beautiful. It's elegant and so comfortable. The lace is intricate and unique and the fit is amazing! It also has some stretch so you don't feel confined.
I didn't need any alterations in the end. I'm wearing 4 inch heals (I'm 5 ft 4 inches) and there is about half an inch of the dress that I could hem but I opted against it because the lace is so stunning.

Typically I wear an 8 so I sized up as most wedding gowns run large....not this one, I settled on a size 6. The lace is so beautiful and not something you see everyday. The illusion neckline, and key hole back add the perfect details. This purchase was a second dress for me as I started to second guess my first one. This dress made me realize how important comfort is going to be on my wedding day. I could do a cartwheel in the dress if I wanted to! Sitting, standing, dancing, will not even be a second thought. Beautiful dress for an extremely reasonable price.

I had the opportunity to visit BHLDN in Chicago to try on wedding dresses. While the dresses I originally selected were very nice, none of them really called out to me. My stylist then brought out the Elinor gown for me to try on and I knew then that I found the right dress.
The Elinor gown had everything I was looking for without making any sacrifices: comfort and elegance.
Comfort: I donâ??t feel like I have to hold my breath because the dress is constructed of stretch materials. The lining I found to be very soft. I would almost say itâ??s like wearing a super fancy t-shirt. It's insanely comfortable.
Elegance: The lace on this dress is absolutely fantastic. The pattern is bold, but not overwhelming. I always envisioned wearing a dress with a keyhole back, so for the Elinor to have the keyhole back was another check on the list. The train is the perfect length â?? adds some drama, but isnâ??t cumbersome.
To note, the dress does runs a bit large. I typically wear a 4, but according to the gown measurements I should be a size 2. Iâ??m glad that I ordered the size 2 because it fits perfectly! (5â??5â?? 140lbs.) The only alterations I foresee will be hemming. At my height and wearing 3â?? heels, the gown still needs to be taken up about an inch or so.
Love this gown, I canâ??t wait to wear it on my wedding day!

I went in to the brand new Portland store planning to try on the Grazia and Marivana, but they didn't have the Marivana in stock. So, my stylist brought out the Elinor and I fell in LOVE. It was not that impressive to me online, or even looking at the dress on the hanger. Try it on anyway! I instantly knew I was going to get it, even though it was a little outside of my budget. I'm not the type of person that would have a "bridal moment," but I sent a picture of this dress to practically everyone I knew because I was so in love with it.
The fit is spectacular, the train is lovely (and I didn't even think I wanted a train, the Elinor changed my mind!), and it's so feminine and bridal. It also is quite comfortable compared to some of the others I tried on. I loved the pattern on the lace, and even though I was looking for a v neck, the neckline on this is really, really pretty. And I don't even need a necklace now.
For reference, I'm a street size 4, size 26 waist, 32DD, and 125 pounds. I tried on a 4 and would have need it altered about an inch, so I ordered the 2 instead. Either would have worked though, I was just hoping to keep the cost of alterations down.
Can't recommend this dress enough!
