This is the first time I've ever reviewed anything in my entire life. The only reason I'm going through the trouble is because I had such torture finding the right bridesmaids gifts for my summer wedding. My husband bought these for my bridesmaids and myself. I got the pink one and they all got blue. Cotton voile is supposed to be thin - it is a very delicate fabric. In fact, it's usually sheer or semi-sheer. It's a French word that means "veil." These are NOT sheer at all & ended up being perfect for my Hamptons garden wedding. Plum Pretty Sugar is a special company based in LA, and they put a lot of love into their products. This is not mass-produced garbage. My bridal party, mother & mother-in-law all have discerning taste and these went over very well.
It's a feminine summer robe - light, airy, graceful. These are hand-painted florals that are then printed onto the fabric. There's nothing like it out there. I've seen the knock-offs & there's no comparison. I've now washed it over and over and it's just gotten softer. This robe loves the laundry! I'm 5'2 weigh 102 lbs and the xsmall fit perfectly. If you appreciate the artistic, dreamy things in life (BHLDN vibe) then this robe is for you. We have gorgeous pics in these & the best part is that we all felt beautiful.
Be sure to have BHLDN wrap each separately if buying for your bridal party. He did have to call & make sure they got that part right. There was an issue but it was easy to fix & they even sent extra wrapping materials overnight just in case. They do an amazing job & it's a gorgeous presentation. Buy it and move on! Every time you put it on, you'll remember your Big Day! Xo

I recently ordered four of the painted petal robes for the bride, myself and the two other bridesmaids. I thought they would be great "getting ready robes". Sadly, I was mistaken. The robes feel cheap and thin -- more like hospital gowns, than something I would want to wear for an extended period of time. The sleeves are sewn together except for the arm hole which gives the robe a weird and uncomfortable wing-like aesthetic, and the colors looked more like a grandmother's dressing gown than romantic or youthful lounge wear. I returned them the same day.
