Oh I'm in love with this dress!
I wanted something modern but not plain for my wedding, and this was everything I had hoped for. Sleek, classic and elegant, but super light and comfortable. It was so easy to wear and after I had it tailored, it was super flattering. My photographer and I kept saying, "This is a mob wife dress!!!" It made me feel so womanly and powerful! Tailoring will be a must if you go with this dress- otherwise the fit could be boxy and too straight. I ordered a size up (I ordered a 6) and had the wist and under the arms taken in.

I tried several gowns in the store - when I put this one on - I knew it was it! I wear size 4 - it was a true fit. No alteration required (except the length, I'm petite). I always wanted a vintage wedding dress - now I have it! I'll be paring it with mimosa t-strap shoes.

Elegant and Timeless
I went in looking for something simple and elegant. I don't want to wear a veil or very tall heels. I'm an Ironman triathlete, built very strong and straight up and down. I'm 5'4", small chested (B cup) and tiny with a lot of muscle. I usually wear a size 0-2 in pants and 2-4 in dresses (26 inch waist).
We went into the BHLDN boutique in Chestnut Hill and I tried on various dresses. This was not one of my original picks. The lady at the boutique actually recommended this one. It was between 2 similar dresses, but we all agreed that the neckline on this one was more elegant.
I said YES to the dress. I love the simplicity and will be wearing a hair comb, no sash, and wedges most likely. This IS one COMFORTABLE dress! I'll be wearing it on into the reception, so that was a requirement. I will have to have it tailored, as this is right after race season (I have a half ironman the week before and so does the groom). It is form fitting and very flattering. We have a Fall outdoor wedding, so this is the perfect statement and perfect dress for me.

I did not like the positioning of the lace
This gown fit one size larger (as per the description). Other BHLDN dresses I tried fit in size 10, I needed size 8 for this dress. I'm 5'7, 36B-30-41. The lace on this dress is more stiff than that of the Margeaux, the gown I ultimately chose. It still does move with the body, but does not make as fluid of a shape. On my body, the lace made an awkward heart like shape right around my butt and pelvis which I did not care for as it gave a more lingerie feel to a formal dress. That being said, my mom looking at it from a distance did not note the issue with the lace. So, not the dress for me, but it was a well made dress.
