Stunning and sleek
I saw this dress online and had a feeling it would be the one for me, and it sure was. It is very simple but classic and the heavier fabric was perfect for a winter wedding. It has a sort of Old Hollywood look to it and its simplicity lends well to some fun accessorizing.
It doesn't fit perfectly off the rack, but I think the price point of the dress more than makes up for the alterations required. I recommend sizing up if you are between sizes so that it will drape nicely over the hips and thighs, and then taking it in around waist, chest, etc. as needed. I also had bust cups added to fill out the top so I didn't have to wrangle with any sort of backless bra. For reference, I am 5'8/130 lbs and I ordered a size 4.

Fits 34A with expert seamstress
Bottom Line: If you are small-chested but love this dress, don't despair! Take it to a seamstress for his/her opinion. Also, try the bustle, it looks gorgeous!
As a 34-28-38 (135lbs) I required a size 6 to fit my hips, which was too large for my 34A bust. I was determined that this was the dress, so I tracked down a seamstress who has been doing wedding alterations for 15 years.
To make the front a better fit, the seamstress did a few things, she 1) sewed some padding (onto my backless&strapless bra), and 2) took in the sides (as well as some length at the top of the shoulders, requiring her to cut out a little more for the arm holes).
The consequence of making the front tighter--it makes the back feel a little loose! Not to worry, she then took elastic and sewed it (invisible from the outside of the dress) into the curves along several spots at the back to keep the same beautiful draped look. I could walk and move comfortably, the shoulders felt firmly in place and did not slip.
For the grand finale, she made a simple bustle and the look of the fabric gathered above the ground compliments the plunging back. It is simply lovely.
Small personal detail: I wasn't sure what to do with the long satin sash that came with the dress. Tying a bow (for me) is messy. (The satin sash is not really shown in the pictures provided here, but it is LONG.) The seamstress sewed just enough of the sash onto the dress so I could have the look of satin around the waist (sans extra ties). She also sewed the flowers (similar to "blanched hydrangea sash") directly onto it for a fun detail.
A dream to accessorize! Enjoy.

sleek, glamorous, and simple... yet too big on top
This is a very well made gown - the fabric is a nice medium weight, and it is fully lined and finished. I will warn you that it does show lumps and bumps easily, so unless you have 0% body fat, you'd better wear some spanx/shapers. The style is stunning, very classic, with a little 1940s feel to it. The sash that comes with it does nothing for me - I prefer it without the sash at all, or with the one pictured here. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my body type - I am larger on the bottom than on the top (35.5-29-40.5). The 8 fit my hips perfectly, the 6 fit my waist perfectly, but I would have needed a 4 on top. Tall ladies do not fear - I am 5'8" and 143lbs, and it was VERY long on me. I do wonder how it could be bustled... it might look silly with the back pinned up.
Ultimately I am sending this back... it felt more like an evening gown than a bridal gown, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to alter it to fit me without ruining the draping on the top and back. The way it is designed would make it very tricky to take in the top, but the seams on the hips are very narrow so there's not much room to let it out. However, on the right girl, and with the right accessories, this will be timeless and elegant. It is also very well priced. Give it a try if you are bigger on top than on bottom, or if you are a perfectly proportioned hourglass figure.

Beautiful dress but not for small-chested women
This is a beautiful, elegant, classy gown. Unfortunately, it is built for bustier women. I am 5'6", 115 lbs, size A cup. Even after two alterations, the dress does not fit my chest. I cannot return the dress because I have altered it, but I cannot wear it for my wedding. If I were a C cup, it would have been a dream. Good luck to all future brides!
