Very sweet, not very formal The description of the dress is "cotton & silk shell". Maybe I should have known what that meant but it basically looks and feels like cotton. While the cut of this dress is adorable, even the one-shoulder style is not enough to make this seem formal enough for an evening wedding. If the fabrication was more silk or satin it would have been perfect. If your summer wedding event is in the afternoon or outdoors it would be a perfect and beautiful choice. Size up more than you think. I measured my daughter and felt I still could have ordered a larger size. June 11, 2013
