gorgous dress but tricky fit (for me)
This dress is so beautiful. I really, really wanted it to work. But on my body, the fit was way off. I'm 5'8 and about 127 lbs--I normally wear about a size four in anthro stuff. I ordered this in a size six to make sure it would fit my bust (34c). When I pulled the dress out of the box, it was stunning--great details, crisp (somehow none of the butterflies got crushed in shipping), brighter than in the photos. But it was just made for someone way shorter than me--like, 5'2. The length from shoulders to waist was very short (I couldn't lift my arms at all), and even though I went up a full size, the bust was still small (though the waist, etc. was fine/biggish, and the hem was super long). So, if you're tall like me, I recommend ordering this at least 2 sizes up to get the right length, and then taking it in. To put things in perspective, I ordered another bhldn dress in a 4 and it fit me about right.

The One!
When I saw this dress online at BHLDN I knew it was "The One". I didn't even bother trying any others on, but went right ahead and ordered it. I am usually a UK size 8, and bought the size 4 which was almost perfect. I had it altered as it was a bit long (as expected) and my dressmaker told me not to loose any weight - it could do with being a tad tighter around my bust, but with my bra it fits okay. Best of all I don't have to go on any pre-wedding diets. The dress itself is exquisite. The butterflies look like they are flying - so different to any other dress I've seen in the magazines. The one warning I have for any potential UK buyers is be prepared to pay a hefty duty fee on your dress. Customs charged me about a third of the dress again. Lucky it looks great as returning this wasn't an option. Can't wait to wear my dress in two months time!!!

Beautiful dress!
This dress is gorgeous and beautifully constructed, and it fit true to size (38-30-39, 34D -- I took a size 10 and would have had to shorten it by a few inches). It's very flattering, but it was a bit more dress than I ultimately needed -- I'm more comfortable in a lighter dress without a train.
It also gave me a small case of sausage arms, probably a combination of the off-the-shoulder neckline and my large arms. I think it would be more flattering on someone a little more delicate than I am, but it was well worth the try.

Exquisite!
When I recieved the first email from BHLDN I wasn´t even engaged yet, but it only took once glance at this gown to know it was it! Now I am engaged and recieved my gown just a week ago...and it is as perfect and exquisite as I imagined and hoped! I was never one to dream about my wedding and now I just can´t wait for the day I get to wear it!
I measured myself out according to the size chart; i´m tall and thin, a size four at the waist and hips and a size zero at the bust. I spoke to a consultant who advised me on getting the size four. True to what has been said, this gown runs smaller on top because even though I am a size zero bust, the bust fit just as perfectly as the waist in a size four gown!
