gorgeous detailing, but so so off
despite what other reviewers said about the awkwardness of fit, i decided to try this out because i could not pass up all that prettiness and such a discounted price.
i was right about the prettiness... the square-shaped sequins are a gorgeous soft almost-rosy gold and the skirt fabric looks so much better in person when you can see the floral detail.
the fit, however.... was not only huge on me (even size 0 is often big on me, so it wasn't a real surprise)... but just awkward... i tried pulling it in in sections to see if alterations might be possible, but for the life of me, i could not figure out where the dress could possibly be taken in... the front was large, but the neck would be too tight, or the chest would be gaping.... etc etc... the whole top half was just awkward.
even still, i had trouble getting myself to take it off and put it back in the box... it's just that gorgeous.... and to own a lauren moffatt dress for that price? well, that alone would have been pretty amazing.

Pretty but not very flattering
This dress is full of gorgeous details but just doesn't hit in the right places. I got my usual size 4 and it fit a little bit tight in the chest. I think it hits a little bit above the natural waist and is therefore not the most flattering. Amazing craftmanship and dress though- very sad

Pretty Fabulous But....
I got this dress today and I can't decide whether or not I love it. The embellishments are lovely. I got the size 8 even though I'm usually a 6. The fit is perfect for my upper body. The moment it hits the waist is when things get interesting. The dress seems long (half an inch above my knee) and kind of frompy. I'm only 5'4 so that could be why. I tried it with and without the petticoat that came with it. Let's just say I'm happy I got it on sale.
