great for some women
I had originally bought this for my civil ceremony b/c I loved the idea. However, the fit didn't work out for me. I ordered a size 8 (34D) and while it fits in the chest area, the rest of the it, like the waist and upper straps had lots of room. It's probably tailor-able, but I didn't have the time to get it done before my date. And as a fyi, for the bustier ladies, it will show cleavage like the picture so just there's no coverage really. So if you were to order this, make sure you have the time to get it tailored to your body shape. Otherwise, great material and fabric and color. I was going to pair this with a knee-length tulle skirt. It's padded enough that I wouldn't have needed a bra.

Not sure about this-
I read the mixed reviews and decided to take a chance on this- I think I ordered it a little too big since it gapes at the top. That said, the front is very short waisted. I have one pair of high waisted trousers and it doesn't look quite right. If I got it a size smaller I think it would be wayyyy too short. Going to return.
Beautiful fabric and construction though.

Short torso
I had visions of wearing this with a hot pair of white tuxedo pants to my rehearsal dinner in November, a sort of sexy, mensware inspired look. The waistcoat, however, cut strange on my waist. It comes up higher than my belly button and even a pair of highwaisted slacks didn't look right. Unfortunately, I think this is a top that's better in theory than actuality.

Flattering
This is such a stunning piece. It's incredibly flattering. I'm 5'5", 36C, normally a size 8. The size 8 fit perfectly. It's very comfortable. The style is so versatile. I will wear it for my wedding which is a 2nd wedding. I love that I can wear it with other things later, like skinny jeans or a pencil skirt. I'm very hard to please and this fits the bill for me.
