stunning but tall
These shoes are stunning! They look even better in person than in the photos. They are clearly, beautifully handmade. The gold/pink shimmer of the leather is magical and even after an entire day of wearing they looked great. They fit very securely on the feet and the stiff footbed makes them feel very stable. They were a huge hit at my wedding.
Only down side: they're very tall. I'm used to a 3 or 3.5 inch heel, and these felt much steeper than I wanted. Within a few hours the bones in my feet were hurting from the downward pressure. I wanted to wear them into the night but had to switch to lower shoes for the reception. If you are comfortable in high, steep shoes, you will love these.

Star-crossed lovers
I wanted to love these shoes in every way, but sadly, it wasn't meant to be. I had been wanting a pair of MP shoes for a very long time and jumped at the chance to wear these lovelies on my wedding day. Unfortunately, the fit and quality were terrible and I had to return them.
They were a full size smaller and the toe box is extremely narrow. There is a seam in the side of the lining at the ball of the foot and I could tell just from trying them on that it would cause a blister. The metallic finish on the leather was missing in big areas on the straps. The straps themselves were inflexible and unruly; It would take a great deal of effort to make them look good. Creases in the leather showed up merely after trying them on. The heel wasn't on the proper part of the foot bed making them difficult to walk in, even for someone accustomed to wearing heels.
Before I received the shoes, they went on sale and the very nice customer service rep for BHLDN adjusted the price for me. The return process went smoothly, but it did take several weeks.
Two stars for the amazing design, but no stars for quality. Shoe absolutely have to marry form and function.

Luminous of Foot
Having triumphed in her elusive and magical display of lightness of foot (ability to dance and flee in slippers of glass), our heroine chose for her wedding to Prince Charming another lightness of foot: glorious rose gold, luminous under the folds of her gown. For weeks after, the talk centered on... were they pink? or were they gold? Heels just right for dancing, hearts swaying in the movement. These slippers feel lovely, fit well, and will bring a gasp from the crowd.
