Lovely vintage-inspired cover-up
A bought this capelet on a recommendation from a BHLDN stylist to wear with the ribboned silk gown for outdoor photos at my November wedding. The day was mild and I didn't need it for warmth (of which it could provide some if you needed it -- as another reviewer notes it has some weight to it), but took several photos with it because it is beautiful. The gold in the lace is very subtle from most viewing distances. The beadwork is of good quality and helps weight it down just enough to help it drape nicely and keep from blowing if you were outside. I think this would complement any simple-styled, ivory-toned dress.

This is wonderful.
I would say this is the most beautiful thing I have ever bought!! Seriously, it's amazing! It's way more beautiful in person, if you can imagine! The beading and lace is spectacular! Buy it. It's worth it! This fit awesome!

Beautiful & Timeless
I completely agree with ESS1's review.
It's gorgeous and timeless. I see myself wearing this long into the future.
The only thing I would have to comment on is that the beads themselves seem of poor quality. There are a few abnormal beads on mine - consisting of beads lumped together. It's a very minor thing, but if you are OCD about the tiniest details...They only give you one normal-sized pearl as a backup, and a LOT of little beads/pearls.
The capelet is constructed from one piece of lace. The beading is responsible for most of the heaviness.

Perfect.
This is gorgeous in person. It was quite a bit heavier than I expected, and I think it will actually help keep me warm (in October), which surprised me a bit, as I was mostly getting it because it is pretty. It is also the perfect antique cream color that I was looking for and having difficulty finding. It is actually ivory and the lace has some slightly shimmery gold color on the flower portions, which made it the more yellow color that I needed. If your dress is true white, this is unlikely to work for you.
The shimmer on the lace is fairly mild, and the pearly beads and metallic beads add a nice bit of detail to my mostly simple dress. It came with a little packet of extra beads and pearls, which is nice. The beads and pearls on the garment itself seem very secure, but it is always a good idea to have backup.
