Gorgeous, ethereal dress!
Of all of the dresses I've tried on, this one is certainly unique. The lace that curls up along the clavicle is just gorgeous. And the open back is stunning.
I felt like a golden witch queen in this piece. This dress is perfect for the bride looking for something ethereal, or for the bride looking for a bit of rock and roll edge -- what with the natural fit, subtle translucent plunging V down the center of the bust, and the bust designed in a dramatic M shape. This dress is very comfortable, and for we short ladies (I'm 5'3") it doesn't need much in the way of tailoring along the bottom of the dress. I might need to lose a couple of inches, but that's it.
Potential issues with this dress, FYI:
1. The illusion straps that fit down the edge of the back will likely need to be tailored for almost any gal so that they lay flat on the back. Thankfully this can be done easily as there's a subtle hem at the top of the shoulders that can be taken out, tulle removed, and re-sewn. This is an essential fix as the straps will fall off or spread open wide on your back otherwise. Tall gals, you may not have to do a thing.
2. The dress is not very forgiving -- in that it forms tightly to your shape. You can see it on the model, even her belly button is slightly visible. I'm a 4-6 regularly, at 5'3" I have hips and a full bum, with a size b chest. I love the way it show off my curves, but who wouldn't be slightly self conscious with such a tight, lightweight dress?
3. The (double) slip bunches up sometimes, creating little folds that need to be smoothed out every once and again. Again, a result of this being a tight number.
Hope this review helps!
