Charm School Dress
I really love this dress - spent a week at different wedding salons and none of the lacy confections felt quite right, so took a deep breath and ordered this online. It's even better in person! All the details are wonderful - though I agree with the earlier reviewer that it would've been better to have a concealed zipper with faux buttons (the dress I got had some button elastics stretched out) - the pattern is very Art Deco, the lace and the fabric of a flattering, warm color, the skirt just the right length and fullness (there are several underskirts - one feels like a muslin slip, but there is also one to give the skirt some volume), and the overall cut is very flattering. I can't comment on fit as I had to order two sizes up from what I usually wear because my size wasn't available - but I don't think it will be too hard to take it in, even with the geometric pattern. And, this is a bit sentimental, but it just feels right - unlike the other dresses I tried on, this one allowed me to start thinking about MY wedding, vs. some abstract knot.com affair that I would play a prescribed role in... Thank you!

This is the single most beautiful item of clothing I have ever owned. The attention to detail is thoroughly delightful, sewn with top quality materials and crafted with utmost care. The geometric patterns of the beadwork gives the dress a cohesive balance between art deco and victorian style. Match this with the brilliant line of sparkly buttons on the sleeves and up the back, and the overall impression is one of incredible vintage charm. With just enough modernity and a nod to history, I look and feel absolutely gorgeous in this dress. Thank you!

Looks Better on Model
I wanted to love this dress. I do love this dress but it was not for me. If your bust is on the fuller side, the bodice does not flatter older women as it is too low cut. Somehow I thought it made me look dumpy. The dress looks much better on the model than it did me personally. I would have preferred a less plunging neckline.
I love the feminine details on this dress and I'm disappointed that it doesn't work on me. The color is perfect for a second wedding or encore bride and the tea length and look of the dress is perfect for an older bride. The dress is very classy.
I loved the crystal buttons on the back but would have preferred it if they were faux buttons and hid a full length zipper. The button "holes" are actually not holes at all but small bands of elastic through which the buttons go. The end result is that quite a few buttons did not remain in their "button" holes and came unbuttoned which was very unflattering. Also, with so many crystal buttons, the dress is impossible to get into by yourself. You have to have someone with you to button you up the back. A zipper would have been far preferrable with these lovely crystal buttons adorning the back.
I really think this dress is best for someone without much cleavage and a more straight up and down build. If you have hips, the dress does not look good on you.
