Avante-Garde Gown 4.5 5 4 4
Simply Stunning!! This gown is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures do not do it justice. Before ordering this dress, I was concerned that the appliqués would obstruct my waistline and the bodice would not fit my bust very well. I was so wrong! I and 5'5", 125 lbs, and 32DD. I followed the size chart and ordered a size 2. This dress fit like a glove! Everything about it is incredible! My one complaint is that the material (while great quality) is a little sheer. However, this dress will be perfect for my destination wedding! August 16, 2012
Most romantic gown ever I knew I wanted something different and on a whim ordered this online without ever trying it on. I received it within two days of ordering and not only was it even more stunning than it looks online, it's comfortable and light. It's the first dress I tried on and I'm sold. I'm only 5'1 so don't let the length scare you! It just makes the beautiful train that much longer! I was concerned the flowers would make me look larger than I am but that wasn't the case at all, it actually accented the best parts of my body! July 13, 2012
Could be the one! I have a difficult body to dress correctly; I'm short, broad shoulders, small chest (32B), and very little waist definition. Basically, whenever I put anything formal on I feel like a kid playing dress up in someone else's closet. The neckline on this dress, although a little long for me, was really flattering. If you have broad shoulders or a small chest, you should consider trying this on. A size 4 fit very nicely, the only alterations I would need to make would be to the neckline and hem; just shorten them up a bit. Although this dress does not have any sort of internal structure to it, I found it to fit nicely; I wasn't too loose or too tight. The appliques were in all of the right spots and added a nice whimsical feel to the dress. All of the dresses I tried on were gorgeous and flattering, but this one was definitely one of my favorites. I so wanted to love it... I was so excited when this dress came. I was certain it would be the one. First of all though, it runs a little on the large side. I carefully followed the sizing instructions, but when it came it was just really big--especially in the bust area. Also, it is really not flattering for anyone who is anything other than the shape of the very skinny model in the pictures. I am a size 4, but this dress made me look like an 8 because there was so little definition around the waist and it is so unstructured, wide, and flow-y at the hips. Also, and I thought this would be fine on me, the gorgeous origami flowers actually obscure your natural shape and make you look larger than you are from the side. Finally, there were a few tiny pulls on the dress, and so even if it had fit me, I would have had to send it back in any case. I am sorry it wasn't the one! January 31, 2012
