Queen Anne Dress
Content with this design
I am 5'1" and 98 pounds, very slim. Based on other reviews on this dress, before measuring I was worried it may run so small that I'd need a size that fit the upper body and I'd be swimming in the rest of it. However, I found this dress to be completely true to it's measurement chart. I ended up ordering a size 0 and it fits me perfectly. Of course it falls a little lower on my legs but that's just the short life I expected it and I think heels will help.
Appearance wise, this dress is everything it's cracked up to be, the gold intertwined through the lace is my favorite part of it., but once you add on that gold ribbon, ohhh man. It really brings it together so well. The only negative thing I can say is that this picture gave me the impression that I would look/feel a little like a very elegant goddess of lace. But the way the top falls onto the body made me feel a little more like someone from colonial times. Other than that, I am very excited to wear this to marry the love of my life, and even better that I caught it on sale before it's gone ;]

Very happy with this dress
This dress is exactly what I had in mind for my wedding dress: gorgeous lace edging, perfect length for a beach wedding and plenty of dancing, with a touch of gold.
I ordered a size six. Going by the specific size guide for this dress that seemed a perfect fit but it is big around the shoulders and bust on me. Given that I live in Australia and would've had to pay more postage to send it back I'm glad it's too big rather than too small. Definitely look at the specific guide for this dress, it's different to other dresses from this site.
The gold thread is much more obvious in person than in the picture but the lace is beautiful. My sash wasn't snagged like others have reported.
Can't wait to wear it on my wedding day!

Lovely dress but arrived with a stain
Adorable daytime wedding dress! I had to order both size 8 and 10 to compare, and ended up going with the 10. It was a little big at the shoulders, but the waist felt right, so I'm having the top altered a bit to fit my frame.
The only disappointment was that the size 10 arrived with a black stain on the lace of the side seam. I only noticed after I arrived at my first appointment with my tailor. She convinced me that it would be easy to remove, but I'm pretty disappointed that this detail was missed. And in the meantime am so worried that it may not come out!
When I looked closer at the packaging, the size 8 was brand new and the size 10 had definitely been repackaged before, as it was in a different style of sealed bag. I sent BHLDN Customer Service a note about it four days ago, but still have not heard a word from them.
I love the dress, so I hope the stain comes out. They should be a bit more careful when inspecting returns. I tried another dress (the Annabelle) earlier in the year that was also delivered with a stain on the front, but I didn't like it anyway. Be sure to look before going to the tailor!

not for anyone with any chest
I am short with an hourglass figure - 34DDD - usually wear an 8 or 10 in anthropologie dresses so I ordered a 12 in this and couldn't zip it past the bottom of my minimizer bra. There was absolutely no room so I don't think a 14 would have been enough better, but then it would have been humongous on my waist and shoulders. So it is going back.
Also, the fabric features a lot more gold threading than you can tell from the photos.
