Queen Anne Dress
I wanted a tea length lace dress for my afternoon garden party wedding and this dress is everything I was looking for. I normally don't like gold, but the gold threading that runs along the lace is beautiful. When it came in the mail it was just as stunning as it is on the model. I am short, so I will need to alter it but I normally have to get dresses and pants hemmed to fit me.

May or may not work out...
Disclaimer: my dress came in today and there's a visible stain (possibly a burn) on the front. Not the best experience so far. However, I tried the dress on and it fit really well- my only complaint is the top half was much too big, but I can get that tailored. The gold sash is thin and snagged, planning to order a different belt. I'm currently waiting for a response from BHLDN regarding the stain, but I plan to give it another shot. Hopefully the next one I get will be stain free.

So Iâ??m making it work...
I loved the way this dress looked on the model and LOVED the color; the gold lace is beautiful. Also love the vintage style. I ordered a size 6 and have a size 28-29 waist. Was supper excited when I received this dress and I will end up keeping it but there were a few things a little off. Iâ??m not a short person, however the top was too big/long but the waist fit well and length of the skirt hit where the modelâ??s does. So I am getting it tailored and taking out the crinoline, replacing it with a slimmer, even petticoat. The crinoline is only on the bottom 6 inches of the skirt, and the lace and silk are very thin/light on top so if moving a certain way you can see the lump. The ribbon belt is also very thin and snagged, so Iâ??ll be replacing that with a thinker navy ribbon.

The photo doesn't do this vintage beauty justice. The lace is delicate and the gold-thread gives the dress a beautiful sheen. In dim lighting it had a candle-lit effect. The silhouette is a slightly more dramatic fit-and-flare than the photo suggests, though that could be because I am a wee-bit curvier than the model.
Because I'm on the taller side, I was concerned about the waist being too high, as a previous poster warned. It did hit above my natural waist, but not in a way that bothered me or diminished the proportions of the dress. On me, the hem hit exactly where it does on the model.
I ordered my standard size 6, and was surprised that it was a little snug through the bodice--I am often a full size smaller on top than on bottom.
My single, small complaint is that the gold sash that came with it was badly snagged. If I keep the dress I intend to request a new sash from BHLDN.
