The proportions of this dress are completely off.
The good: The dress is just as beautiful in person as it is in the photo. It is breaking my heart it has to go back. I found the bust and waist measurements are right on the mark, but I don't know why BHLDN did not show the hip measurements (see below).
The bad: The smell of the plastic bag and the dress is absolutely HORRIFIC. The overlay of the dress splits and opens up completely in half, right down the middle. The top half of the dress fits perfectly based on the measurement chart, but there is a thin under dress (slip-like) that is skin tight. I purchased a size 2 and I am not curvy. As soon as the overlay shifts, you can see every bump and curve. I was afraid to breathe. That is the last thing I want to worry about on my wedding day. It is a shame because the dress is so pretty!

Much smaller than expected
Disclaimer: I was looking for a maternity-friendly gown to wear for my upcoming wedding and decided to order this one to try, as the stomach area looked flowing enough to accommodate. The lining was very tight so it wouldn't have worked for this purpose without adding panels. That said, my overall rating has nothing to do with the above, as I know most people are not looking for a maternity gown.
I ordered this dress in a size 12, expecting it to be too big now and more likely to fit later in my pregnancy (I'm a pre-pregnancy size 4/6, and about 5 months pregnant). I've tried several wedding dresses on in this size before and after trying this one, and this was the only one that was waaaay too tiny in the bust. I'm a 38C at the moment, and this hinged on obscene. The skirt material was extremely staticky and clingy, bunching up in odd ways around the bottoms of my legs. And finally, the dress was shipped in a thick, horrible-smelling plastic bag that made the dress smell horrible as well.
