I felt like a tulip
I wore this dress at my wedding two weeks ago, and it was just perfect -- so feminine, classy and luxurious. My groom told me that I looked like a flower, and i certainly felt like one: the silky fabric is very soft and has a nice heaviness to it, the shape is so flowing and curvy, and you'll feel extremely huggable. I am 115 lbs, 32B and wore a size zero, which worked well, no alternations needed, although i did use fabric tape to secure the top. The v-neck is quite deep, so you'll need a bra that falls low. The lining is tight, but I think it works well to shape your body and protect the dress. I wish I could wear it again.

Gorgeous Gown, not cut for my body
I loved loved loved this gown. I wish it could be mine, but it just won't work for my body. I ordered a size 6 and I wear a street size 6. The under-dress/lining was quite snug, but had a little bit extra in the side seams - probably would have had to let that out - but the dress itself was gorgeous and the draping was incredible and flattering. The top, unfortunately, just wouldn't hang correctly. I'm a 32DD and very short waisted, and between the two, the bodice just did NOT work. I took it to two alterations experts and they both said that they could make it better, but really it just wouldn't look right. So, I sent it back. It is, however, a beautiful gown, with beautiful draping. There's nothing wrong with it or my body - just not the right combination I'm afraid! I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you're smaller up top, but even if not, it's worth a shot. I'm glad I ordered it and gave it a shot. And, by the way, BHLDN has been great about returns.

perfect!
I had originally bought this dress last minute after my first dress turned out to be a disaster. The dress was beautiful and the color lovely. The lining does fit very tight around the hips so I had ordered my usual size and a size up. My seamstress went with the smaller dress since the dress itself fit well and remade the lining. I would suggest taking in 2 sizes to your fitting. In the end, the dress was perfect and I was thrilled with how it all came together.

Sheer Elegance
Was I completely mad to buy "THE" dress on the net from the other side of the world? I was so taken by it though...it was exactly what I had imagined. Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained - there was always the return option. It arrived within 5 days of being ordered and it did not disappoint. The fabric is dreamy and the craftmanship is so reassuringly spot on. Like other reviews read, it is a snug fit around the hip area so I ordered one size up. I will need to do some slight adjusting (hem and bodice) but all in all absolutely thrilled. Also to other Australian brides be aware that any import over $900 will be hit with customs and duty from our end. This added another $360 to the cost. Still though very much worth it. Thank you!!!
