I bought this in 2011 and am surprised with the more recent negative reviews. Mine is almost exactly the color in the photo, and perfectly matches my dress which is a champagne satin (darker than ivory). I wanted something a bit more modern looking, and think this is a good piece that can go either way depending on what you are wearing. I haven't worn it yet since my wedding is in the fall of 2012, but no feathers have fallen out and nothing has changed color. I did think it was expensive for what you get, you can definitely attempt to make something similar. But once I found out it perfectly matched my dress, I figured it wasn't worth the effort on my part to try. Other than the high price, the only other negative is the box it was shipped in is too small, so I have taken it out and will need to find something larger to transport it in.

cool design, but disappointing quality

I really wanted to love -- and to keep -- this hair comb. But after ordering it three times (I liked it that much), I regrettably had to give up. The first comb I received was a perfect butter-yellow color -- nothing like the picture, but a great surprise. But the back of the comb was COMPLETELY unfinished, making it impossible to wear in my short hair, which wouldn't cover the flawed design. Plus, a feather fell out as soon as I took it out of the box. I returned it, and BHLDN kindly sent another comb in exchange. This one was finished, and more like a beige color, but, as another reviewer said, it just looked cheaply made. Visible glue and loose feathers. I tried one last time, receiving a tan colored comb on this occasion. The quality was the same -- really poor. The design of this comb is so unique with its spiky edges and non-traditional feel, but I felt it would be embarrassing to wear, given the poor quality.

not worth it for the price

I have been debating on purchasing this comb but took the leap and now I am sorry. The quality of the one I received is nowhere near the one in the photo. This item is "made in China" and looks cheap. The feathers are tattered and sloppily trimmed and the color is more yellow than peach. I am very dissapointed and expected better for the price. :(

Feminine and Beautiful.

I absolutely love this hairpiece! At first I was concerned it would overwhelm my face but this is not the case at all. It's very complimentary. The comb is very comfortable, feels secure and does not show. I would say the color is just slightly more peachy than the pictures show but it is still beautiful! Can't wait to wear it with the veil I am making myself to go along with it!
