This dress is not black!
Ordered this dress for my bridesmaid's dress under the assumption that it was black- the picture looks black and the color description is "Night". However, when I received the dress it was a pretty prominent navy blue- much brighter than the picture would ever suggest. Just a warning to all those looking for a black dress.
In terms of fit, I would suggest sizing up. The bodice would have been very tight for anybody that has a chest. The rest of the dress was very pretty.
