Elegant
I am 5'2", 115lbs, small chested with a muscular build. This dress looked amazing. Compliments were abundant. However 2 things you should know, the dress was way too long for my 5'2" frame(hemmed it myself, because I can) and the chiffon can stretch or tear easily. I do not plan to wear it again, not sure it would hold up. Great for a one time event.

Looks great
I purchased this dress for my engagement photos and I also wore it to a friend's wedding. This dress is true to size. I am usually a perfect size 6 and the 6 fit me just the way I expected it would. I am 5.7" and 135lbs. The color is beautiful and the length is perfect with heels. I only have one small issue with the dress that probably won't be an issue for most people. The slip did not cover enough of my cleavage (I have an average size chest and I am modest). I was expecting some, but like I said, this isn't much of a complaint. I love the dress and the sleeves and I think it is a great buy.

i wish i was a little bit taller...
Loved how this looks on the model, but didn't work for me. I'm small on top (34a), short, and usually a 4 but I think I needed a petite or perhaps a 2 because this would have taken major alterations on top for me to feel comfortable. Yes, the sleeves were longer than pictured, which made the dress feel different than what I was looking for, but they weren't puffy in my opinion because they fit closely to my arms. I do like the dress, how it hangs from the waist down was flattering, and material was light. But, I'm not up for the alterations. I do think this would be stunning on someone taller.

romantic dress
I purchased this to wear to a Mardi Gras ball. I don't like wearing heavy sequined dresses, nor do I like rhinestones on dresses. This dress, with some minor alterations, will be perfect for the ball.
What I like about it - It has a very romantic, art deco feel to it. I like having sleeves and modest coverage. The merlot color in person is just as it looks on my desktop monitor and phone. (color seems to be the biggest inconsistency I see on bhldn.) The fit is true to size.
What I don't like about it - The sleeves on my dress seem to have more fabric than the dress on the model. It's not just that they are longer, they are more opaque because there is definitely more material. I was hoping that even though they would be longer as others have pointed out, that they would be sheer. Not the case. Another thing I don't like is that the dress is not long on me at all. I'm 5'11, so I'm used to it, but it would be nice if designers would either offer longer length or make longer be the standard. Shorter girls may not like the latter, but it's so easy to get a dress hemmed at the bottom. I will have to wear flats with the dress.
I think the designer made a big mistake by sewing the dress together on the top. I purchased a dress on bhldn.com that had a slip and an overlay - it was perfect. I could adjust the straps of the slip and if needed, the overlay could have been hemmed. With this dress, you can adjust the slip part, but since the two parts are sewn together under the bust, the overlay at the bust sort of flops when you adjust the slip straps to be shorter. It's just really annoying and I feel like the dress as a whole would fit better if they had just made the dress into two separate pieces.
I will keep the dress because I think it's beautiful and worth the sale price.
