Sterling Lace Dress
Stunning MOB dress!
I LOVE this dress! Until now, I have been very frustrated searching for an appropriate MOB dress! I have disliked the typical matronly lacy MOB dress options available. They all tended to be too "over-the-top", in direct competition with the bride and bridesmaids, unflattering, too "weighty" & bulky, or too revealing. HOWEVER, all that changed when I saw this dress by David Meister in person and tried it on! Contrary to the previous review, I found it to be SO PRETTY....understated, stunning, elegance without being matronly.....! It is SO flattering and so very light-weight and comfortable. The combination of taupe/nude and silver lace is an unexpected & pleasantly different neutral combination that would coordinate beautifully with endless wedding party color pallets. I liked that there was no beading involved with the fabrication of this dress as beading can become a nightmare catching on jewelry when hugging or coming in contact with family, friends and wedding guests. I love the flattering t-shirt style silhouette...it is youthful enough to not be frumpy but still MOB appropriate. Having already been a MOB, I am extremely conscientious of not only looking good in a dress when standing still for wedding pictures, but also when moving around!! Dancing, bending over, hugging to welcome or greet guests can be disastrous on so many levels... unflattering bust & cleavage "situations", unattractive upper arm and bra hangover, etc..... This dress makes me look and feel contemporary, appropriate, confident, and completely beautiful! In regards to sizing, depending on the designer, I wear a size 4 or 6, sometimes a 2. I am 5'6", 127 lbs, 34C....The size 4 ran a bit small and worked perfect for me. (I also loved the size 2 Shined Lace Shift by Mignon Doo which I would have bought if we had decided to wear shorter dresses....!) I hope this review helps. This dress is truly stunning.

This dress looked cheap and was way too long. I was disappointed and it was my least favorite dress of any I've ordered. It's tan and silver...tacky looking. Not for a mother of the bride!
