As with my now husband, this dress was love at first sight! I was surprised at how comfortable it was to move around in, yet it looked so elegant. Perfect for my late summer, outdoor wedding. I took another bride's advice and had my seamstress reinforce the buttons (only one fell off by the end of the night and our photographers had us climbing through corn fields!). I'm 5'8 and, with heels, did not need to trim any of the beautiful lace off the bottom in the size 8. I did have the slip taken in. The only complaint I have about the dress being two pieces is the slip shifted around some and my bridesmaids had to keep adjusting it in the back as it kept peeking out. Not a huge deal. Overall, this dress was "the one" for me and totally worth every penny!

This dress was perfect in so many ways. I had a beach wedding and wore it only for the ceremony portion because I wanted something classy and sophisticated for that part. Afterwards, I switched to a cooler dress. However, this dress was not too heavy or warm even for the beach weather - I think it would work in most climates and still be comfortable. It looks much better in person than in photos (but of course the photos all look amazing too!) The only problem was the buttons - just as the other reviewers have been pointing out, they fall off easily and should be reinforced. Otherwise, dress is spectacular - feminine, romantic, comfortable, classic and sophisticated.

Okay...let's begin this by saying this dress is breathtaking. However, the buttons leave something to be desired. I tried this dress on two weeks before my wedding day and two buttons fell off. I nearly had a coronary. Luckily, I found a seamstress who could fix the problem in no more than a day. When I tried the dress on at her shop, two more buttons fell off. I HIGHLY suggest getting your buttons reinforced, which is what I did. The seamstress charged me a dollar a button. I didn't care. She fixed my dress and I am eternally grateful. What I would also suggest, as the satin under dress is not sewn to the lace overdress...sew them together. I did not, and had to keep readjusting them throughout the night. Also, like other reviewers stated, there is no support in the dress. It is very delicate and ideal for a summer wedding (mine was 7/10/15). I went with a no-show bra, which failed to live up to its name. In hindsight, I would've done pasties. Just a suggestion.
Overall, I loved that this was my wedding dress. Just like when I found my husband, I stopped looking when I found the Francine. I still get complicated on it's beauty to this day. If you are willing to put the work in to making this dress work for you, you will not regret your decision.

This was my #1 favorite dress going into my BHLDN appointment! First dress I tried on and it was beautiful! Buttons were missing from the back, which as I read in reviews was very common with this dress. Dress fit true to size, I am normally a 4 and tried on a 4. Although dress is beautiful- I found my dream dress in another BHLDN dress! Included a photo, for reference- I am 5'1" (but was wearing about 4-5" heals) and 120 lbs.
