Rated 5 out of 5 by Jaleesa from I felt like a Grecian Goddess My BHLDN experience was incredible, the customer service was great. I felt well taken care of and I never once felt rushed. The dress was beautiful and I seriously felt like a Goddess on my wedding day. The 'Laverne' is unlike any other wedding dress that I have ever seen, it is soft and dreamy and so incredibly comfy, that was a very important thing to me, comfort. I wanted to be able to move, dance and eat a lot ( I did just that!). I feel so lucky to have been married in such a beautiful dress. Looking back at photos, I am assured this was the perfect dress for me! I accidentally spilled red wine on my dress, and I took it to the dry cleaners a week later and the stain was completely gone, the fabric was very forgiving, which is important if you tend to spill. My one issue with the dress is that it often got caught on my shoes (which had a bow full of crystals) so that was my fault for not testing it out for a longer period of time. So make sure you get smooth shoes to avoid snags. Overall I was completely satisfied with my purchase and I was very happy with it. I would highly recommend it for women with a smaller bust. xo

So light and comfortable...the dressed got me through my August wedding in the Texas Hill Country. I think it's ideal if you are smaller on top. The V-cut neckline was tasteful and no bra was needed. The perfect dress! The only issue I had was with the way that zipper was sown where the top half of the dress meets the skirt. It was difficult to get the zipper up when on the hanger, let alone on a person. After returning the first dress, I had a seamstress sow the zipper a bit loser just along the skirt seam and that did the trick. I'm 135, 5'6 and the size 4 fit perfectly (minus the zipper/skirt seam issue).

The silk lining feels fabulous and the dress is so lightweight. I initially tried the dress on with a regular bra and regular underwear. The underwear seemed ok, but obviously I would have to get a special bra. Well silly me, I realized that the dress has cups and boning built in. What a relief to know that I can wear this dress with nude shaping underwear (yummy tummies) that I already own and not wear a bra! Bonus! I will need to get the dress shortened though - maybe about 6 inches. I normally wear a size 4 in street clothes, but the 6 fits me. On another note, I ordered this dress at the same time that I ordered another more bridal, almost ball-gown style dress. While that dress looked nice, this dress looks elegant. My parents agreed, and my dad even said that if Lady Mary on Downtown Abbey gets married again, she would wear a dress like this :) Long story short, this dress feels so effortless and hardly requires any accessorizing, but looks absolutely wonderful. And at the current sale price, how can you go wrong?

Rated 5 out of 5 by jules61 from LOVE THIS DRESS! I had another dress that was much more traditional and when it came in, I did not like it. It was heavy and uncomfortable. I went to the BHLDN location in Chestnut Hill, MA and Jill helped me. She was amazing. I pretty much tried on everything and a few looks multiple times before deciding on the Laverne. I absolutely love the back of this dress. I have a larger chest but just got a bustier low back bra and had a seamstress sew up the plunge about an inch. I'm tall so that was the only alteration I needed. The dress is so comfortable and the material feels amazing against your skin; I wore it all night, including the after party! Overall, the experience at BHLDN is amazing and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
