The Inspiration

We were thrilled to team up once again with uber-talented wedding photographer India Earl for a shoot along California’s Sonoma Coast. Influencers, LGBTQ+ activists, and real-life couple Kate Austin and Sarah Sulsenti donned the season’s best wedding gowns and braved the rain for a romantic day beneath California’s towering redwoods. The showers somehow made the setting even more magical, proving that rain on your wedding day isn’t always bad thing.

For a woodland wedding, let the surroundings dictate a restrained, organic color palette. Gowns in soft ivory and snowy white take on a refreshing brilliance against a backdrop of lush, mossy green and warm umber.

Timber Cove Resort is ideally situated between the rugged Pacific coastline and Northern California’s famed redwoods. When new owners took over the historical hotel in 2016, they sought to blend its original 1963 architecture and artistic spirit with the modern amenities of a luxury resort. The result is an only-in-California vibe that’s been described as “modern hippie.” Our favorite part? Timber Cove’s blufftop wedding ceremony space offers panoramic ocean views guaranteed to make your big day even more unforgettable.
