What wedding is complete without a toast (or two!) to the happy couple? To celebrate the launch of our Spring 2020 gown collection, we’re sharing creative and colorful spring wedding cocktail recipes inspired by four of our favorite new gowns. We asked Steve Wildy, Beverage Director for Menus & Venues, to create the cocktails with classic, modern, romantic, and bohemian brides in mind.
Steve tells us, “This free-spirited white sangria riff incorporates a boost of bright and healthful kombucha, exotic spice notes, and a striking, ultramarine blue float from the addition of butterfly pea flower.”

Still Wind Spritz
3.5 oz. mulled white wine*
.5 oz simple syrup**
2 oz. kombucha
1 Tbsp butterfly pea flower concentrate
(1 tsp powder mixed with 2 tsp water)
Combine wine, simple syrup, and kombucha in a highball glass with ice and stir gently. Fill to the top of the glass and add a float of butterfly pea flower mixture. Gently agitate with a bar spoon to allow the blue mixture to cascade through the drink.
*Mulled White Wine
2 cups crisp white wine
½ tsp whole black pepper
1 tsp whole cardamom
Peel of 1 lemon
4 pieces candied ginger
(approx. 1" pieces)
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes. Strain and allow to cool.
Combine equal parts sugar and hot water. Stir until dissolved. Allow to cool.
